Good indy in North West
I know there is a highly regarded disco fettler in Yeovil but that's a bit of a drag from Lancashire so anyone know of a decent clone of Mr Yeovil but in the north west....the next few weeks are def going to see new brake pads and a 30k service and I also really fancy some spots (not sure which and whether I want them with or without A bar).
If there's no decent indy out there, all thoughts on Landrover @ Brock would also be welcome.....

Rough idea where you are? If he's prepared to venture this far north and still be cost effective then sounds like a plan (pads may not wait that long but service is the main piece).
Also - on the spots.....sure I've seen a pic of someones D3 on here with 4 spots on the bumper, looked liked maybe 60mm ones, can;t remember if it was A framed or not.....any idea's, seen some angel eye style ones but fear they may look sh**e, lol

I'm near Preston so fairly close, if your talking week after next then I'll be somewhere between 28.5 and 29k at a guess so that could work dependent on his schedule.....might be able to tease the brakes out til then too.....
Don't suppose there's a set price for the 30K service from him, remind me of his details and I can PM him if it's easier as need price for service, brakes and poss spots......(if he takes Credit cards,lol), would like someone recommended to give it the once over as it's new to me too....

I used them for my last service, which also needed brake changes. nothing outstanding but equally nothing wrong. They were able to negotiate on the price which helped. One of the forum members had previously posted an invoice he had for a really good price at his dealers, used this to get a price match
RLD - trailer ? Iam missing the old girl being out of operation! Hope you had a good timer in Norwway, keen you catch up and hear about your adventures.
Guy Salmon in Stockport currently doing 30k service for £350 - could get any of the Locals to price match i assume?
K Motors in Preston did my brakes - significantly cheaper than LR dealer.

k motors in leyland did loads of work on my 90, all at a good price, and they always do "little" extra jobs for free.
recommended.

That's 2 for K motors, will certainly give them a whirl if anything crops up. TFC is coming up to do service, brakes and fit some LR spots, not the cheapest but very reasonable for on site service and if he's as good as legend has it then very much well worth it Errr, ummm, maybe...oh bo**ocks, just do it !
