Three men go into a hotel. The man behind the desk said the room is £30.00, so each man paid £10.00 and went to the room.
A while later the man behind the desk realized the room was only £25.00, so he sent the bellboy to the 3 guys' room with £5.00
On the way, the bellboy couldn't figure out how to split £5.00 evenly between 3 men, so he gave each man a £1.00 and kept the other £2.00 for himself.
This meant that the 3 men each paid £9..00 for the room, which is a total of £27.00.
Add the £2.00 that the bellboy kept makes a total of £29.00
Where is the other pound?

It will probably be recorded as an admin charge to process the refund I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

They paid 25 gbp for the room
Got a pound back each
Bellboy keeps 2 gbp
= 30 pounds

And this statement is what causes the confusion....the £2 tip came out of the 27 that they ended up paying, leaving 25 for the room.....
It should read:
This meant that the 3 men each paid £9.00 for the room, which is a total of £27.00. which includes the £2.00 tip that the bellboy got, add the £3 that was refunded and we arrive once more to the original total of £30
It's amazing how logical the riddle sounds though if you don't stop to think about it.... 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

Nevermind the missing pound. The most important thing is Why are 3 men sharing 1 hotel room HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

It could be 3 scotsmen trying to find out who is the tightest I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

This is exactly why I posted it. My arithmetic is up there with the best of them, but this one had me scratching my head for a while this morning. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom
