There is a known IE8 textarea bug However it shouldn't be occurring in this case
However, I have made a change to the layout code - could those who were seeing the problem switch back to """standards""" mode (compatibility mode NOT ON) and report back?

Had the problem on my laptop with IE8 on Vista, but not on this netbook with IE8 on XP. So no, I can't check. Well, not at the moment. Laptop being used for other "things" and is not to be disturbed for the moment.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Excellent.
Just to make it ABSOLUTELY CLEAR - this was a Microsoft bug, not a site coding problem 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
