Question for the technical wizzards. |
|
After having a new Turbo fitted in May , I am now experiencing the the occassional "engine system fault" message.
It only occurs when accelarating hard in high gears , ie 4th, 5th for extended periods, 10 seconds or more.Warning message then low power mode until an ignition cycle clears and the car will drive absolutely perfectly until I deliberately provoke it again .
I have 2 recorded fault codes, one for "Overboost", and one for "Underboost"
Opinions please on whether the underboost is a result of the car going into low power mode, or do I have sticky vanes , AGAIN!
I think the overboost could be explained by the map being a little close to the limits , and the current cold dense air making the boost a little aggressive over a prolonged heavy throttle opening pulling a high gear.

split/delaminating intercooler hoses possibly I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.
