Adaptive lighting working?????

Hi all
I have a 05 disco 3 HSE V6, not sure if the bi-xenon front adaptive lighting is working Sad .
Can anyone tell me how I can test if it’s working/fitted on my car.
Lights seem to work, but not sure about the adaptive lighting, what should it be doing and how does it work?
Thanks for any advise.
Seasons greetings to all.

First off, are you sure it is fitted? They were not standard spec on any UK trim levels (including HSE).

In UK-spec D3s, the easiest way is to check if you have the cornering lamps - this is an extra bulb in the sidelight reflector that points towards outwards and is fitted to all AFS bi-xenons.

When you turn the ignition on, you should be able to notice that the lights do a little dance, moving up, down, left and right whilst they calibrate their position - this should last a couple of seconds.

If there was an error, then you would see the red AFS warning lamp in the instrument pack.

Hi
Thanks for this, it looks like I don’t have it fitted I was reading the Wiki spec sheets and it said that the HSE had the adaptive lighting, so was going off this.
I will look tonight.
Thanks, have a good weekend

Mine was first registered in June 05... It doesn't have adaptive lights as standard although it does appear to have a cornering lamp in the n/s headlamp... I think the LR fairy put it there... pity it doesn't work Laughing

Cheers Bodsy Thumbs Up

I thought that cornering lamps were only fitted to non-adaptive lights in the NAS market?

Or is it another case of LR mix'n'match specs depending on what they find in the parts bin?
