When I was installing my version of the upper rear lift gate manual release into the lower rear tail gate, (pictures of the mod in my gallery), I discovered that the right side support cable bolt was loose as well. The bolt was still snug, but that was the best one could say.
I also had the problem of the loose upper strut right side bolt being loose, and thanks to the forum, I caught it while it was still attached.
