Hi! Top job everyone on the forum, inspired me to buy a Disco 3 to go away camping around the UK, first holiday away 25th to 31st May in my new-to-me November 2004 HSE!
My daily driver is an EV, I work for a well known sport/supercar company here in the UK - look forward to posting some pictures as I get through the car servicing part by part. I have big plans for this car

G'Day,
Thank you for accepting me on the forum.
I am looking at a 2010 Disco 4 and will have lots of questions before I purchase.
I have previously owned a 1996 Disco which is a very different kettle of fish.
Regards,
Wardy

Hi.
Just bought a nice Discovery 3 MY2008 with engine broken. This is my second one, as I sold my previous one when I discovered the cranckshaft problems.
Now I wil try to fix this car and take care of it.
This is my 5th Land Rover at home, together with a Disco 300Tdi, 2x Defender 90TD5 MY2001 and a 2004 Discovery II TD5.

Hi all, I owned a D2 for many years, and only sold it because of Mr Kahns ULEZ expansion in London. I bought an ULEZ compliant Golf, and I really missed my D2. We have now moved from the. London area so when a very good friend of my said he was retiring and he offered to sell me his D3, for a price that l could not turn down, l jumped at the chance to own a Land Rover again. I now have a Java Black TDV6

Hi. I'm very happy with my Discovery 3 HSE I recently acquired. I'm an engineer and I was wondering if it is possible to connect a Bluetooth adapter to the cubby box connector.
I was able to unlock the hidden menu in my stock radio screen and to call a random number typing the phone numbers in the touch screen by following initially ?feature=shared. But typing the numbers in the number pad I was not able to initiate a call. Although my phone connects to the car's Bluetooth, I have to type the Bluetooth password every time I enter the car.
I saw a video in YouTube in which the calling from the number pad was working ?si=SIruGLOR5BX3RfzP.
I wonder how I can achieve that in the disco 3.
Additionally I plan to acquire a ThinkDiag OBD2 and I would like to know if someone in the forum had any experience with connecting their Disco 3.

Hello Martin!
I was referred by a colleague to this forum.
Basically Ive had a D3 TDV6 for about 3 years, its done around 135,000 miles and just passed another MOT. I broke down on the motorway & the RAC said its a fuel injector leak.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for a repair? I asked my regular mechanic who didn't want to touch it.
I really don't want to get rid of it as it's such a wonderful machine & its never let me down.
I'm in S.E London

Hi, I come here from selling my D2, and moving into a 2016 D4 Commercial which I intend to "tinker" with as much as I did with my D2!

Let it down and carry a compressor.
That’s what I do. Mine’s a real tight fit, but works.
I used a Jack to push it up as I’m already on my 3 spare wheel winch from putting too much strain on the others. Disco 4 2012 HSE, Nara Bronze

For the tow bar, I had the same.
I’m sure there’s posts on here, but roughly;
Push the ‘pin’ in from behind (I ended up taking the lock off so it’d move when hammered from behind)
Loads and loads of WD40 in every gap I could find, the using. Rubber mallet to ease it side to side, front back etc.
With some force it broke free Disco 4 2012 HSE, Nara Bronze

Thanks for the tips I will be trying the towbar one tomorrow, I had already removed the towing ball, lock and the braces that attach to the chassis. The bit that is similar to a gear that is supposed to turn and release would not move either way. In fact I put so much force onto it that the shaft broke clean in 2 where the locking pin goes through.
Once the tow bar is sorted I will be doing the spare tyre but I will also be removing the tyre guard (as it is broken).
