Hello from a new member! Also a query! |
|
Hello everyone! Pleased to join the disco forum and hopefully gain some valuable expertise from you all!
I have been offered a Disco 3, 2.7 manual, decent MOT and I understand it has been well looked after (awaiting history etc) mileage of 130k
As a newbie to disco3’s just wondering what I should be looking out for, any major issues, common faults that would require me to remortgage etc 😂
I can pick it for £1200/1300 and keen to get peoples view if this is a decent price?
Look forward to your replies (hopefully 😉)
Thanks

Hi All
Just joined the D3 mob after 5 years with a D2
So far it's not been a pleasant experience but I'm getting there!
A replacement intercooler, new radiator, new A/C condenser, new prop centre bearing! Oh and let's not forget the new clutch and dual mass flywheel 😑
I'm now trying to get a few bits and Bob's sorted out, it's the poverty model so had no steering wheel controls, I've added those and the stereo controls work fine however the cruise control does not!
I'm guessing it needs enabling! Also as I understand you can enable a clock in the information panel which would be good seeing as you can only read the stereo clock in low light conditions which is a pain!
Are there any members local to Nottingham that have a scan tool that can sort these in return for some pictures of the king/queen?
Here's hoping!
Cheers Duncan

Long time defender2.net user and in the process of getting myself a late 2016 discovery 4. Love my defender and it will be staying. However hoping to get some overland European trips sorted and getting on a bit in years so like creature comforts like air con etc in warmer climates.
One I'm looking at is a white landmark, reg GK16ULO, dont suppose anyone on here knows the car or has any experience of JRL 4x4 in Goole. They don't seem to have a website but seem to deal mainly in Discos and RR. Guy seems very knowledgeable and car looks good.
Anything I need to watch for, has a good service history, 2 owners and just on 80k.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome, to all the newbies above.
Hope you enjoy your Discos and all the trials & tribulations that come with it.
But, whatever…… there’s no better machine on this planet. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
< ‘tis but a mere scratch …….. it’ll polish out.

Hello All,
Recently get an D3 with 4.4 V8 Java black exterior and Alpaca Leather (already switched to full black interior).
Still fixing/changing/adding some things but that takes time since my to list is quite long.
Anyway overall it's a great vehicle

Hi I’ve owned my disco 3 for 3 years and recently she’s becoming an headache I’ve joined to see if we can figure what is wrong with her as garages in my area won’t touch them so most work has to be done by myself and my dad

Just joined the site having owned about 5 previous Disco’s and have now acquired a 2008 Disco 3.
On a small farm and needed it for towing a horse box (plus my wife and I both enjoy driving them), perfect for what we need, Just wincing at recent Main dealer repair 😳 which fixed the issue but emptied my wallet. Now have an issue with the radio showing the time but otherwise no5 working, but thanks for the thread on how to resolve by removing fuse and waiting 5 secs before replacing, hopefully that will sort it 🤞

Hi all, new LR3 owner here in BC Canada. It's an '07 SE 4.4 with the coilover swap. It has a few issues to sort out of course, but nothing that gets in the way of driving it. Nice to see there's such an active and engaged group of enthusiasts here.

Welcome.
I've always fancied a V8 Am I Gammon or Woke ? - I neither know nor care.
2016 Discovery 4 Landmark
2011 Mercedes Benz SL350 (R230)
1973 MG B GT V8 - 3.9L John Eales engine, 5 speed R380 gearbox, since 1975.
1959 MGA roadster - 1.9L Peter Burgess Engine - 5 speed gearbox
Past LRs - Multiple FFRs, Discos & a Series I - some petrol, some diesel,
none Electric or H2 fuel cell - yet.
There are 10 types of people in this world: Those who understand binary, and those who don’t.

LPFP Flow Rate at Schrader |
|
Hi Members,
I have a TDV62.7 D3 that won’t start.
I have been through a range of checks and still working my way through it
I connected a hose to the fuel bleed schrader valve and measured 200ml of flow in a minute.
Does anyone know what flow rate should be there? I have read 0.4 Bar but I don’t have a gauge to fit and check..
Thank you in advance for any help
