If you can get hold of it try Castrol SLXC 5W 30
You might only be able to get it from your dealer or a Jaguar dealer. Discovery 4 XS

Manual says it must comply with some long winded quality standard AAXXGHTZ5r (or something). Not available anywhere other than a main LR dealer at £1,789 a litre. OK its a bit cheaper than that - but not by much ! Disco 4 TDV6HSE

Your only slightly wrong with your price point. It's 17.00 a Litre.
Looking on the castrol site, I thought they would recomend the Edge range, but if I read it right, they are suggesting Magnatec as a replacement, that should be cheaper. Discovery 4 XS

I got some 5w-30 Shell Ultra Helix VX from a motor factor, which cost £34+VAT for 5 litres.
It may not be exalty the right stuff but I'm sure it will be fine for top ups between oil changes. I needed to put 1 litre in after 9000 miles. 2016 D4 Landmark - Waitomo/Ebony
