G'day all,
I have just purchased an '05 D3 TDV6 SE and while I am waiting for the dealer to go over the car and the finance to be approved I was wondering if there is a definitive list of items that were recalled by LR?
I am a little worried about warranty aspects so I would like to know what has needed doing since the D3 burst onto the scene as anecdotally there seems to be quite a few things that have needed work.
Cheers,
Norm

Morning Norm,
This wont answer all your question, but may help. As i have just become a member of this elite group of 'owners of the best kit we humans have designed yet'
i have recently purchased from a dealer a MY05 HSE TDV6, 58k on the clock. I asked that many questions that they think i'm the biggest pain in the world but got most answers except for what was landrover recall and had it been done.
Finally 'after purchase' i got a spec print out from the dealer that shows exactly what the model i brought has and what was done with regard to 'landrover service actions' (dont know why they didnt give me this in the first place )
They are:
Q003 Discovery3 towing equip (this has to do the the weakness in the original plate thats attached)
Q045E done jun/09
Q002X done oct/07
A034B done jul/06
A036G done jul/06
The above are from all accounts the recalls, but i am still to find out what the codes are apart from the towing one, if any one here can answer this, then you will know what Landrover has done to MY05 HSE TDV6 models and what to look for.
Final advice, make sure all removable items that would come with the D3 are with it - ie. key for towbar, back space cover, cooler box tray, tools (beats me why someone would take them out but they do) etc these might seem small, but if they are not in the D3, then they are in someone's garage and are expensive to replace in case you need them.
Hope this helps.
Regards Dayne

Thanks for the info Dayne,
I will post your list of 'Service Actions' on the Aust LR Owners forum and see what they can tell me.
Great tip on the little extras, I did notice that the tray from the centre console was missing when I took it for a test drive. Where is the toolkit located and what should it have?
Cheers,
Norm

Afto, the tool kit is in the back well, right hand side. There is a latched panel that hinges open, the left hand side should contain the towbar if it is not attached (this is on the 7 seater HSE, the 5 seaters are in the floor i think). The kit should have a basic set of typical tools any vehicle normally has (sorry dont have them to hand as i post this) but it is good knowing some tools are in the D3 when you are in a situation when you need a tool and your main ones happen to be sitting beside the tool shed because you took them out to clean the beast and got called away for a small errand and never got to put them back
Some where on this forum, should have reference to the service actions - it is where i found the tow equip one, but alias i have had no luck pin pointing the others just yet.
Regards, Dayne
