Dont worry we all go through the pain of reading this thread and trying to work out what bits we need and how to install them.
I ended up buying (at first) the wrong bluetooth module as I just searched for a d4 one. However, as Wiggs has pointed out, you need the 'square' type with the MOST connection.
Ive just created some power wiring from old computer cable and tweaked with a MOST cable to create the link for the new module (as my d3 didint have one originally)
Hopefully try it this weekend to ensure its getting power and signal.
Then its just sorting the ccf update.

Been attempting this myself today, so I have a d4 unit, a most cable adaptor and the power cable needed for information JST 2P is the cable i used fits well
When i hooked it up to power it stated the phone was disconnected, did a BT search and didn't find anything, IID did see the bluetooth unit was there showed no faults, I put the D4 unit into my fatty and everything worked fine, paired my phone to it then transferred it back to D3 but nothing any pointers please?
