Just got "HLDF CAN Bootloader Waiting for Download" message this morning. I was super scared that I would have to shell out some big bucks to the dealer to have this fixed.

As a new user the knowledge and generosity on this forum amazes me.
Is a copy of this ISO something we all should have on our computers? Is this a failure that will eventually happen to all of us?
If so, I'll preemptively take a PM for the link. If it's not all that common, I can wait as my screen still boots up fine. I'll admit that reading this thread has me a bit worried though.. 2006 LR3 V8 HSE

Having problems with this as well. Got the ISO file (thanks wiggs!) burnt on a DVD+R with DVD Decrypter on 2,4x.
The result is 7 files on the DVD, some .bin, .pmb etc.
But when inserted in the DVD player in D3 I can hear it starts to spin, but just starts/stops a few times, message on screen does not change.
What could be the problem?

I have tried with the key in both "I" and "II", but it has the same behaviour.

It won't work in "II "
You've proberly got it confused .
Do a hard reset ... Then try it again ( I have had to do this before ) G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Success at last 
I tried to create a DVD with my sons old xp laptop, then it worked first time.
I got the other DVD's burnt with my laptop to start loading, but was always aborted before completed.
