Iam suprised at how many FBH activations we have had accross the UK I didnt think it had been cold enough. None though yet in Yorkshire, I put that down to the warmth and generosity us northerners are famous for up here !
Russell - How do you set your blowers to come on with the FBH ?

D4 is slightly diffrent as it has been designed like that, can heat and vent for hot and cold days
Having said that, if you fit the timer kit to the D3 and set it to fire up 20 minutes before you go out to the car, the engine should be warmed up and in theory you should get warm air out of the vents as soon as you start the car. I realise the car will not be warm when you get in it but it should have warm air coming out of the vents as soon as you start it an improvment on driving down the road for 7/8 miles before getting any warm airMY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

FBH
Hi All
Well if youre FBH has fired up your lucky mine has never worked since Ive owned it
cheers
Hit the remote for mine last week on a couple of mornings as I fired up the coffee machine. Bliss. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Mine started yesterday morning when i went out about half 6, didnt notice what the temp was, i knew it worked because it came on a couple of weeks ago and frightened the life out of me until i grabbed the manual from the glove box and read about it.VW Touareg 3.0 Altitude

Mine fired up on Saturday am at around 2 degrees. There was a reasonable frost around that morning in sunny Manchester. Quite reassuring to see the smoke etc as it had been playing up last winter. I'm still not sure whether it needs the 'Econ' setting to be off for it to work does anyone have a definitive answer?D4 SDV6 XS Orkney Grey

Mine's been firing up daily for the last two weeks, exactly half an hour before I get in Dr. Ian Malcolm:
"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
Transgenic tomato anyone?

Still no activations in Yorkshire
I can confirm that on my MY2005 base spec, the FBH will not fire up in economy mode.
No activation of mine so far (Essex, and Norfolk). Doubt it's got down to 7 degrees yet though, pretty sheltered where we are.____
