I test drove one and found it noisey and uncomfortable and terrible obn corrigations. I think the D3 spoils one.

Good value though and has a good warranty. Plenty of space inside (one of the few in which my dog could stand up!)

117,00 Km. When can I stop holding my breath for my first problem? Son's Pajero meanwhile blew a diff seal.

You miss the point of Mark's postings. It's about problems with his vehicle .
My Kubotas run fine , but that's nothing to do with LR D3 either .

I understand the frustration but move on guys.
I think everyone who is on this forum is here as they own landrovers and appreciate they have problems, but alot of us own and love them warts and all.
No one turns their head to look at a Cruz, pajero etc
So maybe you keep coming back to the site as you want feel part of something and that is missing with a reliable Asian motor! Whistle
I for one will never own anything else except a D4 when I can afford it
Safe and happy motoring what ever you drive

Australia 2009 Discovery 3 4.0 V6 Petrol SE Auto Santorini BlackDiscovery 3

I've had my Black SE petrol D3 for 20 months and 48,000 kms. I'm sorry for Mark that his car gave him trouble and for those that also aren't happy that is a shame. Every vehicle has a few niggles and idiosyncrasies. Every manufacturer, motor vehicle or otherwise, will do everything they can to minimise their costs in warranty claims.

I hope everyone has a great experience with their vehicle of choice but I for one am glad to be back driving a car with a green oval again. It was a long time between drinks - 24 years in fact.

Cheers

I've just come inside from cleaning my MAP sensor - not very dirty - and I have to say my D3 is running like the proverbial Swiss clock ... it just starts first time every day and does all I have asked of it both on & off road, I try to "look after it" and not push it to its limits and it repays me with trouble free motoring, sorry to hear of all your troubles ... good luck with whatever you drive in the future.
As for me - I'll stick with the green oval for now thanks

cheers Very Happy
