Chill Jason, I posted that not to dig at you, but because others were expressing concerns about their own installations. Peace and love, peace and love. 8)
For the avoidance of doubt, when I want to take dig at you I'd call you a knobber somewhere in the post and you can call me Huckleberry I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

As mentioned, I'm not having a pop. There are plenty of reasons Iain installed yours the way he did and I'm sure he discussed the merits of LED placement with you. You have to take into account that every addition to a circuit introduces a new potential point of failure, hence adding additional relays, while elegant, adds complexity, cost and risk of component failure. What you have is simple, robust and tells you when the FBH is working, not just that the GSM has received a signal.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Agree Al, and its the install I wanted, and asked to be fitted...
I cannot see the problem with the LED now
I modified it myself to dim it a little, And that was my decision before the lemmings jumped in

Not quite getting why peoples Led's are stil active after unlocking the car
I have a dial to open GSM unit also, when i unlock the car the FBH and led shut down, this was exactly what i wanted as i didnt want to be driving round with a flashing led when the FBH was running.
The only time my led flashes is when it has been triggered by the GSm unit, not just because the fBH is running
How come mine does this then?? Or is it because i am special
See video, click on the picture .........(crap, but you get the drift )
Edited to add, Oooops, just read the previous page properly , (though i am still special, my mum told me , and the teachers in my portacabin classroom at school )
Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Procrastination is the thief of time!!
