Winch for D4 Commercial
Has anyone fitted a winch to the front of their D4? Any pics?
I'm looking to get one for my D4 Commercial...
Is the standard battery enough to cope?
Any tips and or advice would be appreciated.
Cheers. When the time comes for your life to flash before your eyes, make sure you have something to look at!

Nice pic StornowaySA.
I see you have the LR/Mantec G4 front bash plate... how far does it stick out in front of your bumper?
I've been looking at getting a similar winch...have you had any bother with it? Is it easy to service?
Cheers!

re bash plate - you hardly notice it - perfect fit and flush just like the original plastic it replaces. Winch is great, no issues, and easy to get to and remove if needed. Highly recommended.MY2010 D4 HSE 3.0, e-diff, 19inch MTR's; LLAMS Height adjustor, LR f & r light guards, LR side steps, LR bright finish side door mouldings; LR/Mantec G4 front bash plate, LR G4 Winch kit, Warn 9500lb Winch; GOE compressor guard, Uniden UHF, LR bright finish roof rails, LR G4 driving light kit, LR G4 ladder, 4 x extra rear compartment 12V sockets, Traxide dual battery system and Optima Yellowtop battery, ORS drawer system / fridge slide, LED rear compartment lighting.

Traxide dual battery system? do you think I would need a similar system for self recovery? Or is the standard battery enough as long as you don't stall?

No, standard battery is enough - keep winching to 60 second bursts though.MY2010 D4 HSE 3.0, e-diff, 19inch MTR's; LLAMS Height adjustor, LR f & r light guards, LR side steps, LR bright finish side door mouldings; LR/Mantec G4 front bash plate, LR G4 Winch kit, Warn 9500lb Winch; GOE compressor guard, Uniden UHF, LR bright finish roof rails, LR G4 driving light kit, LR G4 ladder, 4 x extra rear compartment 12V sockets, Traxide dual battery system and Optima Yellowtop battery, ORS drawer system / fridge slide, LED rear compartment lighting.
