Tailgate locking

Hi.
I have a problem with the locking on the tailgate of my Disco3 There are no faults with the lock or actuator but there is no voltage on the actuator connection when I push key fob. all other doors lock, anybody have any ideas please.

I could be wrong here but - doesn't the actuator on the tailgate serve only to release the latch to open the tailgate?

Then the action of locking merely disables the external button from connecting to the actuator via the electronics, hence no voltage to the actuator when locking?

As I say I could be barking up the wrong tree, but that's my perception of how it works. Clive

Hi Clive.
Thanks for replying. I think it needs a new actuator it only opens when not under pressure,I will try a new one first
and take it from there
