dd that would be great if you could try one out & let us know. At that price, it would be worth having "just in case".
Thanks.

1m! thats enough to put the D3 on its side surely ...... serously though, sounds like these cheaper ones will be too small. slimers is 60x63cm I think, and 10fc's is much longer (allegedly ) so not looking too good.
I know but 10fc... I rekon with yours we could start a new national passtime..... prius tipping..... idea is you park up next to a prius, jack it onto its side discreetly, snap a pic and drive away 2004 TDV6 HSE Auto Zambezi Silver

ok so its 80x80.... still not as big as 10fc's 8) .... wondering if airjack envy might become a recognised medical condition.
at c£400 each think thats way over the avrage joes justifiable budget though. 2004 TDV6 HSE Auto Zambezi Silver

The Takla was 'only' £249, and has a shraeder valve for inflation by air compressor as well as the exaust gas method

can just see the headlines.... prius declared unsafe after gusts of wind cause them to flip over
had a bright idea though.... if the cheap ones have enough height you could buy 2, put them next to eachother and attach one to each exhaust... 2004 TDV6 HSE Auto Zambezi Silver

that's not such a bad idea! it would spread the load across both bags and provide a safety factor if one was to 'let go' - whilst getting over the blocking-the-second-tailpipe issue at the same time

Clearly the bargain basement £16.99 jack is smaller & no doubt far less robust than the one that Slimer etc. have. But if it will raise the D3 enough to change a wheel even if only when parked on tarmac, at that price It's worth having. I'd use the scissor jack as well just for added safety, but from what I've seen posted here, the scissor jack on It's own is not always up to the job.

The scissor jack will do the job well, even off-road, as long as you don't try to rush the job. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
