Greener than a Prius
So according to this months What Car, the D3 is greener than a Pious, in terms of "dust to dust" energy consumption.
Out of 96 cars, D3 comes in 53rd
RRS 48th
Priapus 74th
In$highte 64th
and the Jeep Wrangler came in first ??? Long succession of Disco's since 2001...

Can I suggest we all start firing emails at the letters sections of the daily news papers quoting these articles and statistics?
I will do one tomorrow to the daily mail. There is no point in this information if it goes no further than What Car, as only car enthusiasts read it.
Get typing and spread the word.

The What Car article is indeed based on the CNW survey.
The Wrangler comes out on top because of its simplicity, established technologies & parts shared with other cars.
I'd take a few of the results with a pinch of salt, accepting that the calculation of the whole-life environmental cost of a car is a wee bit complex! and suspect that it doesnt cover all available vehicles, otherwise the Defender would surely feature somewhere near the top of the list.
As this method of counting the cost of cars evolves, I suspect there will be a few red faced greenies and a few LR owners having the last laugh Long succession of Disco's since 2001...

mmm I get the same thing for any of their links and the site fails to load correctly. Same with Autocar recently too... Haymarket must has server problems or their sites have gone Mac unfriendly.
