I've just done the precise sums on my deal (nothing signed yet and no deposit paid I might add!!).
It works out at 3.5% discount (from main dealer) calculated on the total of list price plus £3500 factory fitted options. I also have an assurance (albeit verbal) that they will "do a deal" on the addition of side steps, long bright finish roof rails, mud flaps and other dealer fit items if we choose to add them.
I'm fairly happy with that. I realise from other posts that brokers can give 7/8% discounts but I'm prepared to forego that in exchange for the goodwill of the supplying dealer (who is local to me). I am also influenced by the fact that we were introduced to the dealer by a friend of SWMBO who is a friend of one of the directors of the company which owns the dealership. Am I expecting preferential treatment if I have any issues and when I turn up for servicing etc ? Absolutely !

8% dealer plus 4% NFU on an XS. didn't want ANY sunroofs, the main reason for choosing an XS, after innumerable problems with them in the past.
This is from a main dealer I have used many times in the apst, and who has always given first class service.
Vehicle is due mid October. What is the earliest date anyone has for a 2012MY??

Reversing camera on 2012MY GS
Does anybody know if the reversing camera can be added to the GS model without upgrading the stereo to the premium HK model?
thanks

If I've read the options list correctly it's not an option for the GS at all.D4 HSE, Active Rear Diff, surround cameras, adaptive xenons, heated steering wheel, TPMS, remote park heating, centre console cooler box
Club MT/R
Club RLD spare wheel protector
Club Sump plate & tree slider
Club Blackvue HD

Do you have a copy of the options list? If so, can you post a scanned copy on this site? I assumed that the reversing camera would be available based on the other spec changes (including the new screen for the audio system), and when I enquired was told that it can be added provided that I also spec the HK stereo.

Been running phsyops on SWMBO for about a week now and I detect signs of cracking. From seven days ago being flatly against a new motor, she is now saying it must have black leather upholstery and we mustn't buy it from a certain dealership. I think that I'm winning the war.
My local dealer (the one we "mustn't" use) tells me that an order today will result in delivery at the end of September using one of their allocated units which they can define right up to build date (colour and other extras & etc). The only fly in the ointment is the p/ex price which is about £3-4 lower than I thought it should be.
Still - there's timeto work on that I guess.

PS Dealer says that Firenze Red will be available from September MY12 models. Any confirmation of that from those in the know?Never take life too seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

Bill - I had a lower than expected P/ex offer on my D3 too. Not sure whether to hold off for the winter . Anyone any views as to when best to sell the D3 and buy the D4 ?
I can wait until March 2012 if necessary.

The enhancements for 2012MY include a "Virtual CD Autochanger", which allows up to 10 CD's to be stored (in lossless format) on the hard drive. That has a big appeal for me.
It is stated to be available on models with hard disc drive navigation. Can anyone confirm if HDD nav is standard on the 2012 D4 XS (which I have ordered) ?
Thanks
P

Does the GS qualify for an NFU discount?
The leaflet seems to refer to HSE: 5%; XS: 4% and Commercial: 3%. No mention of GS.D4 XS MY12 Galway

Sorry, no it doesn't. It is as you say the XS and the HSE only.
