Just out of curiosity what do most people expect from a tyre.
I have run Vredesteins and am getting about 35k miles is from them.

.....have now done 24l miles & appear to be evenly worn about half way
the scorpions that were OEM fit were at the same milage
Plus these were lethal in wet weather at 21k miles..... BREXIT - done properly.

michelin always used to get really good wear rates, with Pirelli being stickiest but fastet wearing. It does depend on driving style and routes. I always get really good mileage out of almost any tyre, but 80% of my journies are up and down the motorway, so virtually straight line stuff, with very little scrubbing of the tread.

Still haven't changed my Pirelli ATR's yet, they've been on for 2 years and a couple of days. During which they've covered at least 42k miles. The rears still have 4-5mm remaining, the fronts are 3-4mm but the n/s front's inner edge is now down to 1.6mm (due to roundabouts) so I really must get on and change them. I have a set of 18" rims with nearly new ATR's to put on.
If the Vreds that doleawg refers to are Wintrac's they are a winter/cold weather tyre. So couple those with a set of ATR's for the months when ambient temperatures are above 7c and you'd be sorted for approx. 80k miles of driving

Put General AT on, great tyres.
Vredestein Wintrac 4 Xtreme's are a fantastic tyre also.

Hi LT,
I may be wrong here, but I would think that roundabouts would tend to wear the outer edge on this wheel.
Perhaps a wheel alignment is necessary.
Best Wishes,

On Pirelli P Zeros driving on twisty A roads up here I got 20000 out of the fronts and now needing to replace the rears at 27000. Pressures checked regularly but the edges seem to go pretty quickly really.

Goodyear wrangler hp, 47000 km and 3-4 mm till the end, lots of highway very good grip in all roads and climate. So happy with this tyres.pressure check every 2 weeks and rotation every 10000 km.
In another car, cooper discoverer hp when changed they did 64000, was on 16" and in a jeep 5.2 V8 with loooots of torque, previously same car had the goodyears wrangler HP from new, they did 53000 km, same driver, car, use, and habits. So my choice for high mileage is Cooper. A bit less grip from cooper in wet roads than goodyears, but nothing remarkable they perform very well.

Why would anyone swap tyres around on a Disco? Mine wear the exact same?
35k miles on Vredesteins seems to be pretty good then?
I hear AT's are pretty good tyres, what is anyone getting out of them?

I should say that the 35k I refer to for the Vredesteins is miles not Km, so about 56k kms.

Surely as the car is 4x4 unless you are driving off road heavily (or around roundabouts) they should wear evenly?

the front s always wear faster than the back
the outside edges round off first.
changing them "front to back" 1/2 way through the tire "life" helps eliminate this
just 'cos its a 4wd doesnt mean the tyres follow the same track (wheel behind wheel) as the car is driven - especially around corners BREXIT - done properly.
