New one at 69k.......8 days before the warranty ran out....
new one was £623........ "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool,than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

well looks like the price of the diff is £390 salvage so may as well pay the £600 for a warranty diff as the salvage one could go at any time seeing the mileage that others had failed at. why do some fail and others not ?? Duncan

I just found one on a popular auction site for £295, but like you have said, no warranty, and it's from a car that's 14mths older than mine
It's amusing (NOT) that LR have increased the replacement costs for a refurbished diff by around 75% - at about the same time than many D3's are approaching the +100k miles Never get mad - get even !!
06 D3 now gone to family member and still going strong at 265k
previous vehicles:
04 D2 TD5 - (clocked 189k from new)
52 X-Trail 2.2 SVE
various euro boxes !
