Will Ford's use of the 2.7 TDV6 help? |
|
I was just wondering what people's thoughts on the impact that Ford's use of the TDV6 in the Territory will have on us D3 TDV6 owners?
Call me a snob, but I doubt the average Territory owner won't take the servicing costs we seem to swallow for the TDV6 in the D3, so I'm quite hopeful that I may be able to take my D3 to a Ford dealer and get a better deal on my servicing?
At the very least parts availability (for the engine at least) will be a bit better! 2012 MY13 SDV6 SE D4 Ipanema Sand with Almond leather
2012 TDI Passat - they reckon the DSG is crap, I reckon it's awesome

....and from the comments it already looks like some Ford customers are getting a taste of what it's like to have to wait for parts.

It's interesting to note that the Ford get's worse fuel consumption than my D3. 2012 MY13 SDV6 SE D4 Ipanema Sand with Almond leather

Looking good doesn't apear to have a manual option and suffering from the same turbo lag surely less weight to pull upside, big opportunity for remaps again Wonder if faultmate with D3 licence would read it? A few mods... and keeping it all running...Faultmate MSV2
