Would have been nice if there was a way round it...
Guess I'll just have to carry on glancing slightly left to see the time and holding the indicator stalk for a couple of seconds when I change lane; life is hard!

As some recent updateees will no doubt vouch for, the red light is not a distracting red light like the warning EPB light, it is more subtle than that so not a distraction at all. Bodsys Brake Bible

Cheers geoff, I panic enough when the dash 'bongs' when the temperature drops, dread to think of the panic if that happened and I saw a red light on the dash! I'll give it a miss for now.

Not sure if I am reading this correctly. If you get the clock enabled on the screen ONLY, would that bring on the warning light or is that only if you get the "lights on" feature enabled as well ?

Thanks Geoff, just wondered if you could have the clock upgrade only, as thats really all I would want.

A solution to the red fbh light is to remove the binnacle and put insulating tape behind the dash film where the light is fitted. It sounds a bit awkward but is simple really. I done his some time ago it makes a big difference!

@ Gav00353
to remove the instrument cluster do you need to remove the steering wheel etc? I have an annoying squeak that I need to track down, coming I think from around there somewhere

The clocks come out without removing the steering wheel.
As an aside, it's not a major big job to replace the red FBH led with a green one if you're handy with a soldering iron.
It's handy to have the lights on indicator particularly if you use the auto lights feature.Clive
I have had this done too, and the red light is not at all distracting - in fact it is very useful to know your lights have come on when using Auto!
In fact I noticed earlier in the year, that when driving in the rain, the lights come on - which is fine, but putting the wipers to on or off, turns them off again - so if you want to do a quick wipe and turn the wipers to off, rather than in "Intermittent" the lights flash
The solution to this BTW, is to turn the wiping speed back one and forward one (or more!) - when you go forward, the wipers do a sweep, but the lights stay on Mark.
