Thanks Ian, its sounding like WD are keeping many forum members happy. Just hope they will drop the initial quote to my £650-£700 max budget, so i can have 12 months carefree motoring in my new toy!

I just checked online to see what a quote would be for me now, I got £692.93 for an Independent garage & £866 for a Franchised dealer, so seems I got a good deal with the 13mths for 12mths as well when I bought it in Feb.

At least it gives you an idea what they can negotiate to and something to aim for.

i looked at that but the cover is limited and only really covers failure not wear and tear from what i could ascertain

Thanks bambi for the info, have just run a quote but it pops back my details have been sent to a salesman who will call me. Looks very similar to click4warranty insurers. My worry is that its not a well known brand, and i only want a company with least resistance when it comes to the crunch

They say the best insurance pas out the most when you need it the most....its just getting the right premium!

Thanks for your reply

I paid 570 with Wd for the top cover luxury care. Recently had a wheel bearing replaced that got paid without an issue Thumbs Up

Having an after market warranty leaves you with the strange feeling that you are getting value for money when your car develops a fault!!!

Great feedback folks...., come on WD, i have the credit card ready! Would be delighted with a sub £600 quote for an all in warranty.

Liked D3_col comments....... I feel that with a warranty you can drive it like a rental, without the worries that your going to need a 2nd mortgage in the near future.

The Wear & Tear is the deal maker, without that any warranty company could come up with ay amount of excuses to claim wear and tear, as soon as you drive the car off a forecourt it is being 'worn'!

Good point discotres, which is i believe a standard feature of the WD policy

I thought it was only Luxury care but double checked and it seems to cover wear & tear on all Wink

From all accounts the luxury care is the popular choice and the only one to consider if premium comes in on budget

Got my list of "wants and needs" ready for the poor Censored that calls me tomorrow from WD touting for business!

will post my findings once deal done or declined

I posted this in another thread recently

Quote:
I originally went with WD which was priced at £650 all in. I have heard positive and negative about them but poor communication and admin mistakes from WD led me to have second thoughts and in the end I cancelled and went with LR with LRA cover instead at £950. Some may think I'm mad (and may be right Smile ) but I was re-assured by my dealer that I would struggle to notice the difference between the full extended LR and the original LR 3 year warranty. Time will tell Rolling Eyes
