I wouldn't bother with the surround cameras side of the vision assist pack. Talking from experience, if you plan to use them off-road they will be covered in mud and hence useless. The junction view sounds good in theory, but the cameras both face forwards.
I'd save the money and get remote park heat - I just wished mine worked with all this snow, going back to the dealer for a second shot at fixing it! I've also got the centre console fridge which is a really nice touch.D4 HSE, Active Rear Diff, surround cameras, adaptive xenons, heated steering wheel, TPMS, remote park heating, centre console cooler box

Won't be used off road mainly, just a few jaunts at weekends.
the 'Vision Assist' is a package that includes adaptive zenons with cornering lights, high beam assist, surround cameras with approach lamps, tow assist and tow hitch assist ! All for £1k extra on the HSE.
............whatever all that means ?

Yep. You can buy all the bits independently, apart from tow assist which only comes with the surround cameras. Adaptive xenons are worth it. I think it's generally accepted than HBA doesn't work and is a PITA.D4 HSE, Active Rear Diff, surround cameras, adaptive xenons, heated steering wheel, TPMS, remote park heating, centre console cooler box

Surely for a grand you're not suggesting I should buy all of them seperately and get some dealer to fit ?!

No, they're all factory fit, just trying to say they're independent. The cameras are the expensive bit and as I've discovered, the least worthwhile.D4 HSE, Active Rear Diff, surround cameras, adaptive xenons, heated steering wheel, TPMS, remote park heating, centre console cooler box

It's a matter of personal opinion I suppose but High Beam Assist works well for me. I've not had to over-ride it on any type of road, in town, winding country roads, dual carriageway, whatever.
Cameras ain't great though, everything seems very pink and not sharp.MY12 D4 HSE Ipanema Sand

HBA works well for me. I'd go for it if I were to order new.
The surround cameras are okayish. They help when maneuvering in tight spaces where I don't want to run over the pavement on the far side. Reverse camera is a help.
Luckily here in RSA, the HSE comes loaded with everything, apart from the FBH, which we don't have the option of.

Nice Peely. Pictures please when you can get them eh?
I've still got a whole month to wait even though we ordered around the same day. I wish I could figure out the LR order to build process.

It has always been peculiar! I ordered my D4 in June 2009, originally told it would be ready on launch day (September 1st 2009), eventually arrived first week of November 2009!
Found out during the latter delay that the factory simply couldn't cope with the unexpected sudden sharp rise in orders as a result of the D4's announcement! Plus they sold out of the Commercial conversion kit parts (supplied by a third party manufacturer, apparently).2016 Discovery 4 Commercial

I assume you are referring to the remote timed FBH - thought all D4's had a FBH for standard heating system......2016 Discovery 4 Commercial
