Hi,
I have some questions about the mantec plate before confirming the intention of purchase....
1) When you have this plate mounted...is it easy to put a rope or a strap?. Can you post a "detail" picture with a rope and with a strap?.
2) Regarding avaible space.....What do you recomend to this particular underbody protection?...a Starp or a Rope...
3) Do you "dismout" very often the plate to clean???. Is it easy?
4) Will Mantec suply easy intructios to mount it?. Is there any procedure or advices in thios forum related with installation in wich everyone is in accordance...(i remenber someone said that it was necessary ti put somme neoprenne protections inside to minimize damamges..is it coorect?? )
ThanksNacho

Nash, I've used a bow shackle then rope onto that:
I've taken it off a couple of times to clean, usually hose into gaps til water runs clear. It's very easy to do just likle fitting. There are no instructions but it is very obvious and easy to do, if I could do it.....!

just got a friend to add his name. At least 2 confirmed buyers already 8)nothing yet.
LR one is designed to fit with the LR winch kit is made by Mantec anyway but only sold through LR. It will fit without the brackets by using bolts and washers instead just like the non-winch one does but you will have to cut some plastic away (which you'd have to do to fit the winch kit anyway), I had mine fitted that way before we fitted the winch.
Slimer,
I am thinking about adding a winch at some point. I am guessing if i get the Mantec, I will be out of luck. With the LR, it seems that I can add the winch later. Correct? What about non-LR winches for either?
Don't know about non LR winches but the LR winch can definitely be added later if you get the winch compatible plate, the plastic you have to cut away to fit it would have to be removed to fit the winch kit anywayThe End
Any pics of the winch and non-winch plates, pre fitting? If it's just a question of additional cutouts and brackets it could be a couple of hours work of a saturday in the workshop to make the changes.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Two more questions.....
1) A part of the Mantec plate...what others underbody protection do you mount?. I mean ... can i put tre Mantec plate and combine it with ASFIR (TBRK) skids without problems?... How many plates, a part of the mantec do you usually mount?. MAntec plate really fits nice and seems very operative.
2) In case of sending it to Spain...wich would be the aditional cost?. Freight cost?
I'm not aware of any other underbody protection used in the UK, but I have seen stuff elsewhere on this site from USA / Oz. Delivery to Spain will be about £50.
16 Notes of interest so far. Perhaps there will be enough interest for this to happen again come March or April. We need 25 confirmed..........
I am aorry to say that I need to drop out of the group buy. I have just purchased the ARB bumper and a winch. They will be installed next week and are not compatable with the Mantec. I will post photos when it is done.
Good Luck with the buy.
