Does anyone have a picture of the Land Rover version of the Mantec plate (i.e. the winch compatible version)? I am curious about how that looks, and if it would work as well on a car with no winch as the Mantec (non-LR) version .
Reason is that it may be possible to have that installed on my company's cost. The car is a company car, and I may get away with installing accessories at the expense of the company when it is done by the dealer. That would save me 19% VAT and almost 50% income tax, which could make it worthwhile to go that path. But it would only make sense if the LR plate provides enough protection on a vehicle with no winch installed. Does anyone know...?

The winch compatible plate offers as much protection as the non-winch version but to fit it to a D3 without a winch you'll need to cut away some plastic under the bumper or (as Chris200100 has proved) modify the plate which I doubt a dealer would be willing to do.
There's some photos here of mine fitted many eons ago before I got the winch

I can't see myself fitting so a winch so will this be a straight forward fit.

Will this buy just be for the sump guard - what about the rear diff plate?

Chesters, yes, the non winch version is very straightforward and takes about 10 minutes to fit

Alex08, rear diff plate isn't made by Mantec

Cheers for that Slimer, I just need some more to show an interest so the group buy can go ahead.

You can see how vulnerable that plastic tray is from this pic:

Thanks, Slimer!

So, after fitting the LR plate on a non-winch vehicle, restoring it to the original state means that some bumper parts must be replaced? Would that be expensive?
And with he Mantec plate, is it just a matter of removing the plate?

You'd have to replace the plastic front bumper, around £250 ISTR + the cost of getting it painted
Yes, with the non winch version it's just a matter of removing the plate

Come on anyone else for one of these plates,

Just thought I would bring this back on to the "New Posts" Page.

There must be some new members that want one of these.

Can't wait, for mine,we only need 4 more.
