D4 Bluetooth Module fitting

Just had my D4 bluetooth module fitted. Thanks to Wiggs for the module, Nick for the other parts and of course Flack for putting it all together, bet you hope you never come accross another one as difficult Mick. Good luck with finding the fault on your laptop mate, it was nice to meet you. Thumbs Up

Glad to hear you got back home at a reasonable hour, at that time we were still battling to get trhe grandkids to bed Sad

Do you know if there are any options with the D4 bluetooth modules regarding the ringtone, volume etc. On my daughters Freelander 2 you can alter the volume for the phone seperatly from the music volume, select from a menu of ringtones etc. Just wondered if we got the same ? if so, how do you access them?

Not sure on the options as I don't have that module, Wiggs is your man to ask on that one...

Hi all a newbie here.

Was the module you fitted to add bluetooth to your D4 or was it a replacement? The reason I ask is because I picked up my 2010 HSE this week and just assumed it would have bluetooth. When I press the phone button it says it's not connected Sad, is it possible to retro fit?

Many thanks in advance. Great site and advice by the way!

Mine was fitted into my D3. As long as you have the 6 CD head unit it will fit OK. I assume this will be the same for a D4 but Wiggs is the best man to ask about it, as he is the one who supplies them plus the MOST cable Thumbs Up

I tried searching with the bluetooth but nothing. I made a mistake, it says "not fitted", not, "not connected)

Still loving it though, just amazed at the massive spec including RSE yet no bluetooth.

Am I right in saying if it doesn't have the phone buttons on the steering wheel it wont be fitted, or is it different on a D4 ?

Ahh, I assumed they were the same as the D3, no buttons, no phone.

Many thanks to wiggs, my HSE does have Bluetooth. I tried to connect with my phone and would not find the LR. Tried my daughters phone and nothing?

Wiggs told me it definitely came with Bluetooth so when I got home I tried the wife's and hey presto it works Thumbs Up

Tried my phone again and it worked Rolling Eyes Don't know what I was doing wrong but I suspect it may not connect unless the ignition is on and my first attempts I only had switched the screen on Embarassed

So I'm happy any how.

Thanks all Thumbs Up Especially wiggs Bow down

Hi,

I want to retrofit Bluetooth to a 2010 Discovery 4. What else do I need beside the Bluetooth Module and the Bracket?

Best regards
Klaus
