The clutch in my D3 has started slipping, i have already changed the oil in the box has anyone got any ideas?

Now I'm a little confused ....D3 or D4...manual or auto?
Your avatar says D3 but you posted under D4
An auto box does not have a clutch it has a torque converter which are designed to 'slip' ie engine revs will rise before drive starts....mileage and symptoms you are seeing would help  Cheers Ian

when you say "slip" can you be a bit more precise ie comment on how the d3 shows the symptoms.

sorry it a D3 auto...
Under hard acceleration at a low rpm you can feel it judder; also at certain speed you can see the rev counter bouncing.

have already flushed the gear box! It started in the summer, flushed it but now it slipping again. LR have suggested an addative in the oil if anyone know what this is or if it helps?
Is it just a case of changing the torque converter?

I has had a double flush, still not perfect. Any other ideas? If not is it just the tourque converter or will i need to change the whole gear box?

You could try the additive route - search for Dr Tranny (not a joke  )

have just purchased 2 tubes of dr tranny, will let you know the outcome.

Dr. Tranny as done the job! put two tubes in with the ATF last night and has not slipped since!

You should think about the underlying cause. Quite a few threads about radiator coolant leaking into the ATF. The fix is either a new radiator or separate ATF cooler.
You may find the problem returns as it is water contamination of the plates in the TC that causes the problem. The additive displaces the water that causes the slippage. If the water contamination continues, slippage will return and you may do damage to the plates that more additive cannot correct. I would not add more additive to solve the problem - 1 tube should be enough. adding more may compromise the ATF. 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.
