FANTASTIC!!
The car behaves sooo much better!! Of course it is in part due to the service just being done, new tyres mounted (Pirelli Scorpion ATRs) and a new front diff. But still - driving off from a stand feels so much smoother, climbing the hill back home is smooth and painless!
Haven't checked fuel consumption yet, as I have only drivena few dozen kms so far.
Thanx Pete - it's amazing.

Looks like I bought just in time, the shops shut.
Just to echo what others have said. Amazing service, bought monday, arrived tuesday. File sent to Pete on Tuesday, and returned the same day. Put the remap on this morning, but only driven to work. What a change. I feel a big drive inthe countryside coming on.
Thanks to Pete, and to Chalky for arranging this. Man with no D3 anymore, but cant leave the forum....how sad.

Pardon my ignorance but can you request different remaps or is it all the same?
What is the most common request?
I wouldn't really know what to ask for to be honest.

When you send the standard file off to Pete you let him know your normal driving pattern. How much different our maps are, probably only Pete knows. 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

Cheers.
Just normal day to day driving mainly going on about 20 mile return journeys normally to get back and fore to work with the odd 120 mile round trip thrown in.
Would it still be worthwhile for that?

If your main reason was to improve economy, then probably not. You would be better off using 2stroke oil in the fuel ( if you have a diesel) and blanking the EGR's. However, if you want to improve the driving experience and you see this as "value", then that is a personal decision, but would be a valid one in respect of the remap.
I do 20k miles per annum, some towing. The improved driving experience is such that it is of value to me. Whether someone also makes use of any improved economy is still questionable because they may be inclined to trade off economy by driving to make use of the new improved performance.
Hope this helps you decide. 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

Hi Guys
Just thought I would post some feedback, I opted for this remap and asked for more torwue lower down the rev range, re-map was duly provided and I installed it on my car.
Firts impression was that yup, the car was a lot smoother, and does better on the hills, MPG didn't show any earlysigns of improvement, but after a week it slowly started to creep up and is now sitting 2mpg better (without having reset - according to trip computer)
So yes, I was pleased with the results, that is, until I hitched on a fully laden, 2T trailer, after that, I was MEGA IMPRESSED, it was almost as if there was no difference, it was completely effortless, I was even tempted to overtake going up a hill.
That particular journey almost ended in tears, I was forced to take extreme evasive action by the overtaking maneouvere of another driver, set the trailer wanging about all over the place, one time in my life when I was VERY glad to be driving a 3T disco.
Anyway, just wanted to say thankyou to Pete for his product, I'm sure it will make a big difference on our euro road trip. It has improved the driving pleasure of an already fantastic vehicle.
