Thanks guys
It is good to see positive results comming in, it's taken me a week or more to get used to the increase in drive ability, I've said it before but for the benefit of those that are not yet fed up of hearing it
Mine is a manual !!!!!! And prior to the re map I was up and down the gear box like a fiddlers elbow
Now it hits an incline and doesent drop the revs off at all ! It's so much more smoother and eager to move along even my mrs said "why the hell didn't you get it sorted out before" even passengers have commented on the smooth quiet ride that it now emits, I think my hankering after a D4 can be quelled until the new Defender hits the showrooms !
I've spent a few grand on it since I bought it, mostly servicing and consumables !
Tyres, V8 disks, remap, soon to be intercooler hose, PTI kit.
I can't see the point in getting shut of it now as some one else will surely benefit from the additions made.
Looking forward to the on set of winter !

Good spot DeeJay, my typing skills not great.
Strange, the more I drive it post remap, the more I notice the difference. I am sure the novelty will wear off at some point. I actually enjoyed the M25 commute today, not that I or any other poor sole got anywhere near 75 mph for much of it.2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

It a valid comment and quite right too, The cars ECU's the gearbox especially are adaptive and generally enter a new learn cycle after programming which is why with general driving on your familiar roads the map comes more apparent as it adapts fully.
This is an automatic process after programming and generally does the job of setting the gearbox back up amongst some other things to match the new engine produced torque while under normal driving condtions if its not forced to do so by SDD or MSV2.
Below is a picture from my SDD dealer tool showing the forced adaptation on my D4 which is the same as the D3 really, as the picture shows the "pedal requested torque" shown in green needs to be in range for it to adapt correctly or at all.
This is done with a normal driving style and letting the car do its job on its own just as you have found with yours where its getting better day by day

Hi all,
Still slightly new to the D3 and forum.
Are these deals stll on? What is the price for the mapping?
The BAS map is it a plug and play? Can it be removed as my car is still under warranty and i would like to remove it and place the original ecu back if it is possible so they garage has no get out clauses.
Thanks IanIan

Easy peasy and yes you can take remap off and put back on. You also get to read faults, reset and of course have more fun driving 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

Guy,
Cheers mate, sorry been really busy with work of late............
GB For Hoses is still ON ! Pete is having them made as we speak and they should be available for the last week in July !
In theory this mod should take the flex out of the original hose and "COULD" improve throttle respose ?
Due in part to the pressure not bellowing the hose ? at least this is what is going to be happening in my head ?
And i'm sure ive read that some where but please dont quote me on it ? unless it works
I,m glad your enjoying the re-map
its certainly brought the new out in the old as far as i'm concerned and saved me thousands getting rid just to buy something else !

Is this offer still on ?? Including the EGR blanks ??
My fuel consumption is falling away drastically these days, getting away from a standing start can be a challenge especially on a busy road and I have 3 EGR error codes that just will not go away
What happens if I want to update a CCF i.e. Sat Nav on the move, 3 Flash indicators or even GBox adaptations reset ??
Should I ,. shouldn't I !

Hi, my advice would be to drive all the way to York
My software was updated to the latest version by Pete as i drove thro to pick mine up, i didnt know it needed doing but there were several updates between the build and the latest version so he did that while i waited,
Speak to him and ask about the gearbox re-flash etc, he can also put the Map on there and then and maybe even chuck the blanks on ?
Just a thought ?
Obviously the cost of fuel will balance out with cost of paying third party to apply any re config
P.S.
Get there at lunch time like i did and you may get lucky from the truck of plenty !
