Just had a green faced chap with gills flipper his way past the back door asking for directions to Atlantis. Bit damp out here at the moment. Whistle

I hereby rename your car, Stingray! Good luck with the tupenny bits*.

Just been out, cleaning the roof of mine with the tyre splash. Wetter than a haddock's bathing costume out there, but no drowned Police 110s yet.

Unplugged the air mass meter and no difference - still flatter than Gary Glitters girlfriend. Plugged back in and read P0100 and P0113, which I would expect after unplugging and plugging back in. With it plugged back it still takes off like a scalded cat at 2000rpm but there is nothing from 1500 - 1800. At 1500 in command shift you can press to just before kickdown and it won't do a thing, just sits there laboring away. At 1800 you can just about coax it to accelerate, then as it hits 2k it launches like somebody lit a fuse.

No other fault codes.

Pop a 2p piece in the top end of each egr pipe to mainifold connection. Just take the pipe clamp off, gently prise the stainless pipe away just enough to drop a 2p in, then let the spring tension in the pipe hold the coin in place. If it drives OK, then proves its egr valve (remove one 2p at a time to isolate which side or both)

Will probably light up the engine light, but mine got back from France like this.

EDIT Ooops just saw Pinheads same suggestion Embarassed

Problem solved. Well solved-ish.

Turns out that after the service, the rigid top pipe from the air box wasn't properly re connected to the intercooler feed to the passenger side of the fan. As a result there was insufficient suction at lower revs to make a seal so the air sensor was reporting low air flow and hence no power. Reconnected the hose and back to normal.

Now on my way to the dealership to discuss the root cause of this - namely all the broken clips on the fan cowl that led to the hose not staying in place when the rigid pipe was pushed onto it. The cowl that was replaced by said dealership last year and is missing all the clips and a section of the cowl Whistle

We will also be discussing all the crud that has been sucked into the engine (the interior of the hose is covered in dust and grit) and the potential implications of driving through floods with one of the lowest points on the air system unsealed. Rolling Eyes

Some "interesting" damage to the cowl. Will try and post pics later but I'm not convinced I had a new one fitted after all. This is going to be interesting Mr. Green

Could've told you that Al, exact same thing happened to my old D3.
I refrained from posting because anytime I did, everyone points to EGR or turbo issues instead Rolling Eyes
