If I'd known I was going to be so thirsty this morning I'd have drunk more beer last night.

Dunc
no - surprisningly solid. After doing this on my old one, I added some extra plastic (some old sofit or facia) about 4 or 5" long behind the bottom rail (the are some moulding bars in the grill, so I fitted the extra plastic between those, glued in) before drilling through. They also have adjustable steady bars at the top of the lamps (aids adjustment as well), so no wobble.

Al, thanks for the spotlight mounting idea. Shall be using it with my lights as I don't want to cut the bumper or grill on mine.
Can swap them to an a frame bar when I buy one of those. In loving memory of FA54WSK.
Rest well old friend, your work is done.

Very nice, hope mine looks as nice as this when i get it colour coded
Love the lugano teal but cant help thinking it seems easier to mark than my old 05 zambesi HSE?? Paint somehow seems softer or thinner than my zambesi one if that makes any sense??

cant say I've noticed that at all. The one thing that is an issue (and its the same on all the dark colours) is that LR persist in using a light (or white) undercoat, so any scratches you do get, if through the top colour, stand out like a sore thumb. It isnt as obvious on a light colour car.

Thats probably it, maybe my zambesi car had marks but were harder to spot. My car was parked in direct sunlight yesterday and looked stunning . Lugano is one of those colours that needs good sunlight to look its best Previous Discos

How did you re-inforced it from behind?
Any pics?

no pics, sorry - if you take the grill out, you will see how it is shaped, and I just cut and glued a peice of extra plastic in behind the bottom rail to give it a bit of extra strength, then drilled straight through the grill and the extra plastic for my mounting bolt.
