And don't be like me and keep pretty much all you take - be really ruthless with your editing and delete the rubbish.
I keep saying I'll delete a load - I've got a couple of terrabytes of photos - approaching 1/4 millon - though that is RAW and Jpeg so not quite that bad
And get opinions from others - take what they say on board and either agree with it or not but at least consider it.Mark.

It covers lots in the way of aperture priority, shutter speeds, ISO etc and how they all work together and how adjusting one can effect the other but put in a video it's better (for me) than reading page after page
But he has a few free guides and quick reads that helped me

the website is worth a look around, typical website reviews or items, mini guides, get to see others pictures uploads, he has a you tube website were theres lots to look at
the website also has a forum too, i occasionally look though it, but i find I prefer talk photography forum for advice and reading through threads on photos

Mark, that is a lot better than the original - though I might not have cropped the top quite so tightly, but then again I might have done! I might also have cropped it in from the left, to put the car slightly off centre - but then again I might not have - There are rules to follow as they often do work, but the rules are also there to be broken if that works better.
If you are into car photography, then there is a guy called Tim Wallace - http://www.ambientlife.co.uk/ who was an amateur that turned Pro and hasn't looked back.Mark.

Nice. I would make one comment, try to offset your subject from the centre of the picture - the one third/two thirds rule (or whatever the official name is) make a massive difference IMH(laymans)O - see crews control's picture of the luscious welsh singer for an exampleSteve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
