Cruised up the steep hill from where I live, (hiding the smug expression on my face)..............but then so did the ancient Skoda Felicia following me! Laughing

We've had a fair bit of snow (officially the fifth deepest snow in the UK on Monday, according to one paper) here in the north Cotswolds and the Disco has been great. Downhill and round bends I'm being super cautious though and it's very, very easy to check the ABS is working..

But going uphill is just so impressive. Bow down

Read a report that says you should wear sunglasses when it's very snowy. Haven't done that but it makes sense come to think of it. When the snow was at its worst all you could see was white - the road was reoughly in the middle between fences and high banks but otherwise you had no idea where it finished and the verges started.

Weirdest journey was back from the station last night around 8pm. No queue to get out of the car park, first car for some time to go up a very steep hill on the way back (no other tyre marks) and eerily quiet. Very spooky Confused

Not had as much as a single snowflake up here in the far North West. Sad There's still a bit of winter to go so there's still hope.

We also had no rain last year so my little corner of the Highlands was officially in drought.

Snow socks are great for soft snow, but be sure to get them off when reaching compacted snow or slushy tarmac. They'll get shredded easily and very quickly.
