United Kingdom 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Manual Buckingham BlueDiscovery 3

Very similar to mine - good that's it's got full LR history and the cam belt service done (but paperwork should be checked on that).

Only issue is no pics from the front?

Any issues with the site let me know!

He said he didn't realise the front ones weren't uploaded, he is sending some to me tomorrow..

Sounds like a nice bloke, Has just bought a new Discovery, hence the sale of this one.
Only thing i wasn't to sure on (but will hopefully be sorted) is that some of the paperwork has been filed away as he claims everything back on his business. Hopefully he will have all of the correct paperwork.

Stamps etc are all present so hopefully it all tallies up.

Seemed to know about the main issue with these and said the hand brake had been sorted so have the brakes and a few other issues.

Your buying at the wrong time of the market. There is the winter premium.
I got my 54 HSE auto, 97k 3 owners and almost full LR history with belts done, new front wheel bearings and an alternator from a family for 12k. Had to do a 400 mile round trip to get it. I don't have a warranty, never bothered with one.

I bought mine in the summer so prices were low. Thumbs Up

Has only cost me £148 which includes a service, 2 bulbs and front wipers.

Most reliable car I've owned, does everything I need and everyone I know loves it.

Not sure about Lexuses (Lexi ?) they have never grabbed me and seemed over hyped and expensive although not looked for some time, is the RX400 the Hybrid one?

However, I also have a Freelander 2 (2.2 diesel) which now it is just passing 10k miles is giving me more than 35mpg on a fair mix of journeys. My Disco was being used for short journeys until it got its new tyres (General Grabber AT's arrived today Very Happy ) since the ones that came with it were barely legal and certainly no use in my 3 foot snow drifts, so far not much over 20mpg Sad

Right, have been speaking to the seller quite abit about the D3. Seems spot on tbh.

Has sent me loads of pictures of what i requested. MOT til December 13. Stamped book at the right times.
Seems to be very knowledgeable about these cars, has another D3 which is his works car.

Going to look at it tomorrow morning.

Has 3 previous owners so i will be the fifth. Is this an issue (the first owner was LR as a demonstrater which was sold with 1000 miles) Is this an issue also?
Just after a few views from more experienced owners.

Thanks

Just checked the MOT history and at the last MOT is came up with..
Reason(s) for refusal to issue Certificate

Nearside Front position lamp(s) not working (1.1.A.3b)

Nearside Outer Track rod end ball joint has excessive play (2.2.B.1f)

Nearside Front Suspension arm synthetic bush deteriorated resulting in excessive movement (2.4.G.2)

Advisory Notice issued

Offside Front Suspension arm synthetic bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement (2.4.G.2)

Rear brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened (3.5.1i)

Rear Brake pad(s) wearing thin (3.5.1g)

Front tyres wearing on inside edge

It was tested afterwards with no advisories. So I assume all of these issues would have been fixed for this to happen?
