Hi
Does anyone know if the rear locking diff was standard on the 06MY HSE? When I go to the 4x4 info screen in one of the off road TR settings then it shows a green unlocked icon for the centre diff and the rear diff, but whilst I have seen the centre icon go red and lock on occasions, I've never seen the rear one lock.
Perhaps I've never been in difficult enough conditions for the car to need rear diff lock but it just made me wonder whether it even has one!
Any suggestions appreciated... MY11 Disco 4 SDV6 HSE

rear locking diff was not std in the UK on any variant (other than G4 spec)
Its very unlikely youhave it.
The rear diff padlock would also change colour if it was locked during some adventurous terrain. Bodsys Brake Bible

From experience the Terrain Response program Rock Crawl makes the Diff locks most active so selecting this will give you the best indication. Having driven vehicles with the locking rear diff it is often the first to lock.
