I'm not complaining..it still looks a lot better than any of the so-called rivals.....especially an X5 with those ludicrously over-tyred rear wheel arches....or the ML that crashed into a chrome shop.... "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

So without the arches, is the car wider or the wheel track narrower?

IT IS NOT PHOTOSHOPPED, we saw a few of these on the road and round Gaydon when we went and did the tour, the only thing I cannot make out is that the air intake is right on the edge of the wing. I liked the front lights. MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

The new FFRR has an air intake system that enables it to wade a lot deeper than before 1m ... could be that ?

That is one fugly DiscoverSportRangeEvoque. It's bad enough they put the Evoque on an HGH and steroid diet to produce the RRS looks. I think a photoshop guru just cropped and pasted his favorite features to come up with the monstrosity. 16 D4 Landmark

it is indeed a photoshop special, it says digital rendering. If there is one due 2015, I would expect to see some highly camo'd models knocking around LR HQ next year

When we were at Gaydon a couple of weeks back there were several floating around on site with NO camo on them and they looke just like that, new front lights with the RR/FL styling, new door mirrors etc MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

I totally get the new front lights, grill and mirrors with indicators, seen one myself... but these are minor styling changes compared to the french photoshop above. Every panel is different there (even the doors) and without arches it's either got to be wider bodied or a narrower car!
Why would they make such a small visual change while having the expense of a completely new body?

If that is the case, then brilliant! I think it looks immense! I have seen an article that shows 2 new types of discovery, one a direct replacement for the 4, showing almost the same body type and another "less rugged" poser type one...http://www.caffyns.co.uk/news/land-rover-new-models

Well if it's not it's certainly p!ss poor thought, design and build.
As CC states why would they make so many minor visual changes, yet necessitate the need for a brand new body.
And why just minor visual changes when they completely restyle the FFRR & RRS and with the modern designs in the Evouque and DC100? ....... that D3 basic shape would've been around for around 10 years and they're looking to extend it far further with this D5 ... I don't see that
Also why still use something as basic as the D4 side vent when that could easily be redesigned to fit in with the lead line of the headlights...... and why have they fitted it right on the edge of the wing?
That old fashioned body swathe they've now incorporated is wider and out of alignment on the bonnet/wing than it is on the rest of the vehicle!
Said it before ........ HORRIBLE ! ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

OK that actual picture may well be a photo shop picture, but there were cars just like that in the metal at Gaydon so there is a lot of fact in what was in the picture (photo shopped or not) MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Russell, wasn't disagreeing with you whether it was photoshopped or not.
Just disagreeing that LR see fit to launch this mish mash of a step backwards as the next Disco. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
