What's the opinion on the D4 2.7 version with manual box ?
SWMBO refuses to drive my auto car and wants a D4 but with manual.
They seem pretty rare but must basically be a D3 engine and box with new body ? SOLD - 23my Range Rover Sport D300 Dynamic SE

Looks like Mrs dj will put the kibosh on a D4!! Saw a D4 manual back in the early days but that was a commercial. You could tell her it's a D4 auto or a van!!

Put her in the D4 auto and tell her she has no option but to drive it, once she has done a mile try to get her out of it, you WILL NOT so be aware. Oh and welcome to the D4 auto club in advance. MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

You just know that's not how SWMBOs work. Once they get entrenched you need subtlety & gile to get them to change their position. Try chocs & champers. Won't have an effect but you might get a chocie and sip of bubbly.

My wife was quite hesitant about the auto box having never driven one, I convinced her that I wouldn't do anything silly until she had taken one for a test drive. Well we went on the test drive within 2 minutes she was converted and now I can't get her out of it!

That's SWMBOs for you. No pleasing them, even when you spend a small fortune on them.
And I am so dead if mine reads this.

Having driven both manuals and autos, there is simply NO comparison, the auto wins hands down, smoother, faster and the difference in mpg is negligible

Auto all the way. Had a D3 manual overnight a good few years ago when my 07 D3 was in for warranty work it was by all means a good car, auto just completes it in my opinion. 2023 Ineos Grenadier 3.0 Diesel Commercial
