hi i have just had to change my pirelli tyres on my d3 tdv6 auto i have only got 15,000 miles out of the front tyres 18 inch and they are on 2mm so have had to change them
what milage have you got from yours and did you keep the same make when you fitted new
i have replaced mine with hankook k406 tyres i have got these on my wifes bmw 330 and have done 12,000 on them and they are not even half worn and give good grip.

I've just been working that out myself and I've calculated that I get about 3500 miles per mm of tyre wear with the Scorpion Zeros. By my reckoning, to get from 8mm to 2mm tread, that means they'll last me 21000 miles.
I drive bendy roads to work and I am quite a 'spirited' driver, but it sounds like you've got me beat 
BTW folks, it seems like a good time of year to pick up brand new 19" FFRR wheels from ebay, flooded is not quite the word, but there are more around than there were a couple of months ago, and the final prices are much lower.

My Synchrones have done over 35k and are about 60% worn. Very quiet too.

Done 11K miles and still got plenty wear left. But they do seem to wear quick. Going to fit AT2's next, will need new set by 15 k miles i think. Arctic Frost Discovery 3 TDV6 SE, Active Rear Diff, Adaptive Head Lights, Tow Pack, Ebony Leather, Roof Rails, Mantec Guard. Tasmod Stainless Sill plates. Grabber AT's. Home made mud flaps. Side Steps back on until the next time.

15000 and changed at 3.5 mm front, 4-5 mm rear. Got a set of "new" 18s and Pirellis off ebay. Running Cooper STs at present (or would be if I could get mine back from the body shop).

Got 29k miles from my Scorpions, and would have got an extra 5 or 6k from them only due to the uneven tyre wear problem IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver

I have about 18k miles on my current one, and the standard Goodyears are only about half worn.
I had 23k miles on my first one when it was replaced, and it was the same story.
What do you guys do to your tyres??? Dave

I was hugely impressed by BFG tyres, A set of MT's I had on my Defender did 92K miles and were replaced as there wasn't really enough tread left for proper off road grip rather than wearing out or going very bald........
unfortunately can't get them for my D3
I have done more tyre sidewall damage to my D3 tyres in 4 weeks than I did in all those miles with those tyres....have to be a bit mroe careful  end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

36000km on the Scorpions. They grip really well on the tar, and are very quiet, so this is what we went for when replacing, seeing as we have STT's for offroad use. Turns out the wheel alignment was way out, so hopefully we will get better this time

What size/speed rating/load rating are the Hankook k406's Shawn??
Can't find any mention of a suitable tyre for the D3 on their website  The End
