Hi folks

I talked to my dealer today about my new D4. He told me that mine will be an 13my since the new 14my specs not out yet Sad

I was moaning that he told me just before I placed my order it will be a 14my since LR will change production line within the summer break in August. Then he promised me to check the possibility to change my order and released some very interesting news:

They got last week the dealer information about the 2014 Discovery which shows the details written and in photos. I was trying to convince him to send my a copy but had no luck Sad
But I received some details: 8)

Production start for 14my will be on the 4. November.
Sales start is mid November
Orders are possible from now on Question
No prices out yet.

I will visit my dealer within the next few days to have a look at the photos to get a idea of the mods and if it worth to rack him to change the order and have to wait until Dezember pr even beginning of next year.

@ Jeremy: You also should have some information for us, haven't you Question Bow down

Annoyingly we've got nothing yet. I would guess any day now.

It is quite possible your dealer has the info as their lead times are slightly longer.

So, the all important question, are you changing for a 14my or staying with a 13my?! Wink

Hard to say as long as I don't know if it worth it. Confused

Hopefully will know more after my visit to the dealer.

There are some pics in the net. If it is the truth somebody unveiled the patent drawings of the facelifted D4:

Some photos on Autocar this morning. Looking at time posted suggests the embargo lifts today.

A few things to note from Autocar

With emissions down to 213g/km I think that means VED will be £280 for the year instead of £475 Cheers Ian

Meanwhile I got some information from my dealer but it is also in the web as Hairy Dan and Jeremy have already posted.

Imo it is not necessary to skip my order and wait longer for the facelifted version. Even if you now can get gadgets like...

....an enhanced range of driver assistance, comfort and safety features
including wade sensing
blind spot monitoring
closing vehicle sensing
reverse traffic detection
T-junction cameras.
Start/Stop-system

two different Meridian premium audio systems: a 380-watt 11-speaker unit and a high-performance 825-watt 17-speaker system.

... but also you loose -at least at the lower equipped models- low range which is than available as an option.

Price lists are not out yet but the prices will go up about 1,5% but that surely differs from country to country
