The symptoms where the very similar to the last time.
It started as I left Mateke . Came off the dirt road and accelerated hard . The same old warning “Engine fault “ followed by “Special programs off†and the power drops off. I turned off the ignition and restarted , the power came back . Tried a soft acceleration and it was fine, then tried a hard acceleration and it cut again.
Stopped outside Vaalwater and pumped up tires and had a look around , all seemed in order. From Vaalwater went through to Markam with no problems . Left Markam around 9pm in heavy rain and went through to Pretoria using a very gentle foot .Approaching Hammanskraal it fault re-occurred. We limped through Pretoria to Johannesburg. And then to 4 Ways. The car would run for 2 mins and loose power. When traffic would become to dangerous I would restart to get a little more power. With about 500 mts to go , after making it up the hill at Paulshoff it lost power and then died . It would crank but not start.
I was at Waterford and saw it being offlaoded and thought "poor fellow.......I hope it doesent happen to me ". I hope they find and sort the problem quickly, and that it is something along the lines of a blocked filter
PS while there, I asked if I could buy some height sensor control rods. (so I could make another set of shortened rods of a different length My current set of short rods I got from a scrap dealer for R5 ea ) They told me that Id have to order the complete sensor unit. and said besides "if you changed them you would have to recalibrate your suspension on the test book" . Having put my shortened rods on and off a few times I havent ever had a problem ..yet. Any thoughts or is the Stealer just being, well a stealer.Of course we'll make it... were in a landy!

Got the same story when I looked for some. Maybe we are going to have to buy a box full of them from our friends up north.
D3 was due for its service anyway. So I look on the bright side , was collected to have the service done. 48000 kms in 16 months. I think I drive to much.

They did phone last night to say it was not done yet, almost fell of my chair. No urgent rush from my side, just want it done properly. They also have to sort out the Disco fart . Looks like mine also got the gas eventually.
I was waiting to see if the boys got the reomote ajustment arms sorted before i get.

well, Ill be giving that a skip then. Besides my new clever tool makes changing the rods very quick, also doesent damage the rubber grommits at all. The only "mission" part is jacking the vehicle and getting dirty in the wheel arch. On the other hand, with the kind of cash mentioned above I can hire someone to do it for me and get him to clean the car when I get back every week for a year, and still have some left over for supervisor refreshments.

had the same sort of issues a couple of months ago. It turned out to be the compressor for the suspension. Apparently the 'bus' system that the car uses has a tendancy to throw all sorts of crazy messages out when something is staring to fail. I kept on getting the 'engine fault' message and the car went into 'limp' mode after hard acceleration, the restart of engine would sort it. Eventually the compressor went and I got the 'suspension error' thingy you say. Had the compressor changed and hey presto.... the car has been absolutly fine since (now done over 5000 miles with no repeat symptoms
