There are two rules for success,
1. Never tell everything you know.

as for the speed limit reduction, only time will tell. there does seem to be a good amount of BS on both sides of the debate. Could be the next Brexit ? (dives for cover)

Bearing in mind the speed, or lack of it, i'm dealing with the Welsh NHS and Government, I think it more than funny, if not a sad reflection of things i'm dealing with. New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!)

I actually have been of the opinion that solely residential areas should have been subject to a 20MPH speed limit for some time.
It is obviosly difficult to define such areas in many situations but should have been one of the weapons to discourage "rat runs"
Even so it has to be a stretched Police service that has to deal with these new rules. They cannot really deal with what is already on the books, do they need more just to pander to the likes of Drakeford's electioneering.A visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an is still an EV. Strictly speaking its SWMBO.

We’ve already got 20mph limits in the North Highlands. It’s no problem, honestly. If you get caught doing 30mph in a 20 (50% over the limit), it’s a £1000 fine and six points.

They tried this in West Lothian for a few months then gave up . Apparently it cost the council around £600000 for new signage etc. The public just wouldn’t have it. If people can’t drive at 30 mph what’s the chance of them driving at 20? What next if you’re caught breaking the speed limit in a 4x4 the firing squad or 10 years in the clink. I think these parish council governments have had their day.Once you have defeated the idiots any job is half done. Pity there are so many idiots to defeat.
