The technology is use in the cubby box "fridge" will only make it freeze shortly after hell itself. Best you might expect is a slower warm up of contents if you start with nearly frozen. There is not even a lot of insulation to keep cold things cold. Could help stop choccie bars going soft though.
I have had the console in bits fitting radio wires, and I wouldn't bother to take it apart again to fit one even if I got it as a gift. Proper compressor fridge in the boot (or second row mid seat) is the only answer.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

Well come on down off the fence and tell me how you really feel!
Thanks for your candid response Nav' - I may well pass and look into how feasible the compressor option is in that case. At least it could then be used for camping/weekend trips, etc.
Cheers,

PM, so welcome and please get involved in the discussions.
Unfortunately this is an old thread, but you will find that Brad@YeovilParts (PM him after 3 posts) will sort you out with a fridge at a reasonable price.
You can also call him on the number in the sponsor section of this site.

They are just a simple peltier device with no thermostat or means of control, so they can only provide a temperature difference between ambient and inside the cooler. The warmer it is in the vehicle the warmer it is inside the cooler.
Always have the aircon on when using the fridge as this removes most of the humidity which can otherwise freeze on the cubby fridge.
