I think the auto return message confirming status is a good idea. At least youll know the message got through. Is your programmer an App expert? An intuitive app would be great at some stage?2010 D4 XS family car

Just another thought on auto response. Id like to know if, after telling the FBH to perform a certain task, the fbh fails to perform that task. Mine currently fires up and runs for a few mins, then trips, on flame fail i assume. I then press the remote to start it again if I remember and aftervdoing this 3 times in total to fbh normallynthen runs for 30 mins
With the gsm option, i'd to know by return txt that the device tripped so i can restart it.
Ive tried buckets of treatmentnthrough the tank and run the fbh hundreds of times but it still fails to get going first time

Hi
Yes as per the info you have the following message levels.
bellautos wrote:
ML=x Set the message level to x
Five message level settings are possible:
0 no messages
1 fault messages only
2 fault and start messages
3 fault, start and stop messages
4 fault, start, stop and delay start messages
If your fbh continues to not fire then it must be mechanicly faulty somewhere, it may be worth changing it. Do you have kit1 installed ?

Your FBH operates normally in automatic? My behaves exactly like yours, but in automatic mode works perfectly. I have yet to try to remake the connection to pin 2 with the cable that Pete kindly sent me, now I use the red cable to the socket. Is the last chance.

crazy, nicks works on the second or third attempt it seems for the full 30 mins so may be totaly different to yours. My wifes last night did not fire at all when the car was warm, but this monring it fire and run first time every time. old heaters do sometimes cause weird problems.

@ Pete
Perhaps, but even my FBH after 3 or 4 attempts is on for 30 minutes. We will see.

In about two weeks we will have ready for sale stock of the GSM add on kit, the sms replys will be simlar to. Pricing is going to be around 150+vat but is to be confirmed nearer to the time. It will include a programmer to prerogram kit1 to the new gsm compatable firmware if you are doing self install.
Adding kit2 to kit1 will need some basic soldering to connect 5 wires, I will install/solder/connect kit2 in exchange for the normally supplied programmer after purchase of kit2 if owners send me their existing kit1 by post for the modification, I can then send back the joined kits ready as plug and play units. This should help people who do not want to or can not solder.

The GSM unit is available now for public use, The add-on GSM to the existing kit1 is £170+£10 for a sim card(with £15 credit on)+vat. (Sim on O2 network)
The kit at the moment is only fittable at my workshops so existing kit1 customers will need to send it back for GSM modification.
