4 X 4 Info Screen ...can it be activated ? YES IT CAN

After all the talk and speculation as to wether the 4x4 info screen can be activated / retrofitted , i can confirm that it CAN Very Happy

Im using a Faultmate MSV 2 interface from Blackboxsolutions ...

The software has not been released to the general public yet ...and im just helping iron out a few bits and bobs .Hopefully it will be released very soon .

The stuff is already there ( if you have sat nav ) ..it was just a case of ticking a box and activating it .. and thats it .

The 4x4 info screen also has the off road sat nav part included ..so that was an extra bonus Thumbs Up

I have a SE version with normal sat nav ...see pics below

All the functions are working correctly and i have been testing them today to make sure .

I have also enabled a few other bits and bobs ..more testing tommorow.

I will be doing a proper review of the Faultmate and the software tommorow ..just need to get some more pics ..so you can see what it does .

Activating the 4x4 info ( and off road sat nav ) took less than 5 mins

Great piece of software ..and im priviledged to be one of the first to test it .

If it can do that, reverse camera and TV i am certainly interested, how much is it likely to cost? Thumbs Up

Just let me add ..before an influx of questions ..

While the software can activate most things ..some modules would be needed .TV would be one of them .You could at least now buy the module and wiring..then activate it with this software . LR will not activate a lot of stuff , due to you changing the car spec .

Fantastic! Very Happy

And I've just paid LR to activate sat nav on the move, which probably wasn't necessary either! Rolling Eyes

I have a feeling Wiggs has probably bought the single vehicle server thingy, so it'll only work on his D3....now stop being tight and buy your own Laughing
