Where is your border these days DSL? There are a few in Glasgow/Edinburgh at least. I'll try and let you know - I could bring you a 'carry out' over the Christmas holidays!!

There's lots of VPower in Luxembourg, and I use it in preference to all other fuels. V6 diesels seem to run much better on it, never mind the MPG. I bought a tank today for EUR 1.174 per litre (= 84.34 pence). If you're passing by, it's one of the cheapest places in Europe for fuel, alcohol and tobacco (which might explain why the 'burgers burn more diesel, drink more and smoke more than their neighbours). It's also incredibly beautiful, especially the City and the Ardennes region. It's only 3.5 hours from the Channel Tunnel.
The cetane rating is a measure of the 'ignitability' of the diesel and starts declining from the point the diesel is refined, therefore,
OK this copies the various text book definitions for CETANE... obtainable on www & various reference books
Question 1: is the actual CETANE number variance available for the fuels we buy - I have asked the company that supplies diesel for the comapny I work for & even the major company I spoke to struggled to give me this on a delivery specific basis.
Question 2: - just where is the data for the "age" of the fuel changing & is this relevant for the fuel we buy at at commercial outlets..tell me where this is published.. i.e.what is the actual difference in CETANE number (supposing this is between 51 & 60. - just what are the parameters for the date range ?
Question 3: - just what temperature variations that we encounter in the UK actually alter the oxygen density to the extent that we would actually notice this & realise this in normal motoring conditions when combined with other variables such as ambient humidity, atmospheric pressure (barometric)? is this relevant in a processor controlled inter cooled turbocharged diesel such as that fitted to the Disco3
just interested to know the data - interesting discussion is developing with some of my marine engineering friends (Huddersfield based Turbocharger development & manufacturing company) ranging on the questions posed above.
Last question: is there dynamometer data available for the Torq tune altered engine?BREXIT - done properly.

I've got some popcorn and a comfy seat. This could be amusing. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
I remember reading some stuff about V-Power diesel containing a GTL (Gas To Liquid) refined component which helped make it good, can't remember the details but I like it and so does my D3 The End

1. Yes
2. It's widely available if you pull your head out of your arse and look for it
3. Lots
Last. Yes

SWMBO could not understand why I wouldn't fill up at Morrisons today even with the bingy yellow light and a range of less than 40 miles - on Friday I will be zooming up to the Shell station in Hyde for what will be nearly a £90 fill up with V-Power by my estimates - I'm prepared to try one tankful to see what happens.... Answer: ask a reasonable questions........& you get "reasonable" answers
just wondered when the "BL Fecker" handle would re emerge...thanks for that
...you come over on this site as some form of technical expert.......put that to the test thats to best you can do ......not very professional....maybe others will gauge accordingly.
we really want to know if you know wot you are TORQing aboutBREXIT - done properly.
