Time for new battery?
Hi all
Spent most of Thursday giving the D3 a good clean and stripping to fit new side steps, during which I kept forgetting about the interior lights being on. By the end the D3 only just started and when it did showed the battery warning light, which shortly after start up did go out. However it did show faults with HDC and suspension, I'm guessing after 8 years service the battery has finally decided its not going to make another winter. I've ordered one which I am going to collect later.
Would battery be your guess too?

What you have explained is fairly normal, however its the original, 8 yrs is phenomenal, so I'd keep and eye on it in the cold weather.
Would be worth giving it a proper charge, the alternator would need about 6-8 hrs no load running to fully charge it from that low state Altox GSM FBH controller thread

Well new battery bought. Turned out too long however I have charged the original battery run the car battery light not going out. I have tried a multimeter across terminals seems staying at 12volts so not charging. Guess time for an alternator.

Hi
The D3 died on the way home, every warning light available flashed speedometer flickered up and down before everything went off and it ground to a half. Managed to get a mate to jump the D3 off with his Porsche.
Anyway its home now and again on charge, tried ringing Nick but seems he is on sick. Wanting to get a new alternator ordered does anyone know the cost I've tried Eurocar parts seems I can get one there for £220.50.
