4 for everything external.
An extra 13 (17 total) I think if you wanted to do all the internal lights (in a HSE/Bright pack). IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver
SA - 07 VW Golf TDI - White - Sold!

Thanks Brendan. Would I need to wear sunglasses at night, if I changed all of the interior ones? Are the tail/stops fog and reversing worth changing whilst I am at it ? Pot Noodle Challenge Winner 2011

I did some of the internals with the older 501 type leds and they look ok, but tbh I think I'm going to put back in normal bulbs, as I prefer the light they give.
I've had the tail/stop ones changed for a good few months now with these type - http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/u38048r-stop-ta...-1134.html (note that this link is for a Pair - 2)
General opinion among others who have them and observers is that those type give the best illumination and have the best obvious difference between tail and brake light.
I didn't bother with my foglights as I can't remember ever needing to use them, front or rear. IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver

Damnit, now I have to change my sidelights again as the ones I have are far too blue. This website needs to come with a wealth warning!
So far:
4 x 18" 10-spoke SE alloys as spares
4 x AT2 255/60/18 tyres
1 x Mantec sump guard
1 x ASFIR gear guard
1 x ASFIR diff guard
1 x 8m 12t recovery strop and shackles
Imminent:
Raised Air Intake
2 x AT2 255/60/18 tyres for two of the spare wheels.
On the cards:
"hidden" winch. Whether it will be hidden enough to avoid being spotted by the financial controller remains to be seen.
Upgrade from side tubes to proper rocksliders.
Grand total?
Not telling. Mrs D sometimes peers over my shoulder when I'm on here. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

I changed my interiors to LEDs and they have blown one by one, out of three I now only have one.
I wonder if the dimming current affects the life of the LEDs?
What is the wattage of the interior light and can you get slightly higher wattage ones instead? “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

NoDo$h, although financially challenged at the moment (i.e. it's not in the bank, let alone the SWMBO budget ) I'm still holding onto the dream of a hidden winch. I know there used to be a french supplier for the hidden winch tray; but AFAIK they no longer sell it - have you happened to find a supplier of such a tray that I could pretend I'm not interested in? Sadly not. I was thinking if I can't locate a suitable off-the-shelf item I might use a cunning combination of beer bribery and a socket-set to have a proper look at the one Chris used for his and then see if I can get something similar fabricated. If I do, I'll probably add a further access cut-out on the top of the bumper with some kind of cover on it, to allow for dealing with problems with the line and to make access to the clutch lever easier.
Still very much at the "hmmm, I really must get me one of those" rather than the "I'm sat here with a winch on my desk, now how do I fit it" stage.
Back on topic, LED brake/rears and brighter, lighter, whiter LED sidelamps ordered.
Anyone want some blue 501 W5Ws? I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Dwex, no, but ultraleds ship to here. It's an extra £5 I think. I ordered my last lot last Thursday afternoon, and they arrived here on Saturday! Usually just 2 - 3 days.
I could supply you with lots of the bluey white 501 (W5W) type leds though - I've got 11 sitting here! IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver

Add my four to the pile and we could, er, we could....
Anyone got any ideas on what to do with 15 blue 501 LEDs? I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
